St. Francis has been educating children in Mayfield and NE Baltimore since 1955. It’s location anchors the NE corner of the neighborhood, an easy walk for neighborhood residents. The school’s curriculum remains relevant and challenging under the leadership of Kevin Frye with its low student to teacher ratio. 100% of the student body graduate to go on to the high school of their choice. Over the years many young families have moved to Mayfield to take advantage of the long tradition of excellence St. Francis has to offer.
Maryland State Boy Choir located in Mayfield’s St. Mathews’ Church
Founded in 1987 by Frank Cimino. This 501-©3 organization consist of approx. 140 choristers ranging in ages from 7-20. They perform locally, nationally, and internationally. Frank Cimino is theArtistic Director, Stephen Holmes the Music Director and Patrick Bourckel is the Treble Choir Director.
The Boy Choir purchased St. Mathews United Church of Christ in Nov. of 2006 to develop a Performing Arts Center. Capital improvements of 3 million dollars for the first stage of the project was completed in December of 2008.
